The numbers are in and it was officially a record year for Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport in Panama City Beach.
More than 890,000 passengers went through the gates at the airport in 2015. That\’s an increase of more than nine percent over 2014.
It has helped that certain airlines including United and Silver Airways have added connections to more cities around the US and that’s appealing when choosing an airport to fly out of.

Southwest has continued to refine their schedule, adding cities during their peak time and has made adjustments throughout. Delta continues to bring mainline aircraft, which are larger. It\’s great for the region and has been a real success. The nine percent increase translates roughly to be about 7,000 more passengers than the previous record set in 2012.
