Panama City Beach is soon about to experience its first Oktoberfest, coming October 13 and 14 to Aaron Bessant Park.
It’s a chance for local breweries and businesses to bring a taste of Germany to locals and visitors alike. There’ll be a Bavarian-style beer garden tent featuring German-based brewers and local distributors’ own theme oriented products.
The inaugural event begins with the Oktoberfest Tapping of the Keg on the Friday (with gates open from 4pm). Saturday events will run 11 am to 11 pm, with all events at Aaron Bessant Park.
Panama City Beach’s version of Oktoberfest won’t be just about brews and hops, but family fun as well. Face painting, a bounce house, vendors, a pumpkin patch and more will be featured at the event.
In addition, German and American music will play throughout the festival, as Euro Express, a Chicago band, will headline the festival. Local and regional groups such as Heritage, the Darrell and Beatrice Band and other artists will also hit the stage for performances.
