While the weather has been more than just unpredictable this summer, the one thing that is guaranteed is busy Labor Day weekend tourism.
Tourists come visit our beach for many reasons – our beach is one of the best in the world. But this weekend also marks the Gulf Coast Jam Music Festival, which features PCB favorite Luke Bryan.

Over 15 thousand people are expected and that is making a lot of hotel and business owners very happy as the fall season begins. (Last year the festival was cancelled due to Hurricane Hermine.)
The Tourist Development Council says Labor Day weekend is crucial for the community.
\”It feeds directly into our locals pockets. We are a tourism community, we are a tourism destination and we cannot be here without tourism,\” said a Panama City Beach Tourism official.
Forecasts show the highest threat of rain on Friday and decreasing as the weekend goes on. Panama City Beach sees 16.2 million tourists a year, and has broken records year over year since 2010.
