Panama City Beach is well known for having some of the prettiest, most impressive sunsets in the world. Tourists and residents alike are seen each night taking a memorable snapshot of the setting sun, usually from on the beach, from their hotel balcony, or will even pull over to the side of the road.
Sunsets are an amazing fascination, and seeing them from anywhere is just fine, but we’ve got a few suggestions of places you can catch that sunset from that might just take your breath away next time:
-
The Pier at Pier Park
Any visitor to the beach needs to check out the Pier at Pier Park. The pier is a fantastic place to take family pictures with a spectacular sunset backdrop… and then you’re only a short walk away from all the shops, restaurants and bars in Pier Park!
-
Take a Sunset Cruise
Take your own chartered boat out or enlist Sea Screamer to do all the work so that all you need to do is point and shoot the camera! As well as daily excursions to shell island, and snorkel and dolphin cruises, the Sea Screamer also offers a special sunset cruise. Being out on the open water at sunset is purely magical.
-
Panhandle Helicopter Ride
We’ll bet you haven’t seen the sunset from up in a helicopter before! Literally fly into the sunset and experience it in a way not many have. One of the advantages of being in a helicopter, is that even once the sun has dropped below the horizon, you can fly a little higher and watch it drop all over again! The aerial view you get of Panama City Beach from above is incredible, and the panorama-view of the sunset will take your breath away. We promise.
