There’s a saying us beach-goers have: “don’t let the rain spoil your day”. Surely a rainy day in Panama City Beach doesn’t have to be a day stuck indoors.
The wet weather provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy a guilt-free day away from tanning – and the chance to discover some of the city’s best indoor attractions!
Even though we all dream of the picture perfect vacation with perfect weather, having some rainy day activities in mind is a good idea. With a little planning and some creativity, a day of inclement weather can be turned into a day of great memories. Here’s some ideas we have in mind:
- Go Shopping
Probably everyone’s favorite pass-time when it comes to rainy days. If the beach’s Pier Park outlet shopping is not an option (due to having to go outside often), why not cross over the bridge into Panama City and head to the more traditional indoor shopping mall.
- Ripley’s Believe It Or Not / Wonder Works
Both located directly across from each other, exploring these fun museums can be a lot of fun for the entire family. Ripley’s boasts 15 galleries of classic artifacts and displays, plus a moving 4-D theater. Discover a weird and wonderful world that has to be seen to be believed! Wonder Works also has various exhibits and rides that are quite fun.
- Bowling and More Fun at Rock’it Lanes
If your family or friends prefer some activities to do, head over to Rock’it Lanes where there’s bowling, roller skating, pool, an arcade, and food!
- See a Movie at The Grand Theatre
See a movie in style. The Grand Theatre at Pier Park is a state-of-the-art stadium seating movie theatre located conveniently in Pier Park, making it simple to combine a movie with a great meal or some shopping. With 16 screens plus a brand new IMAX screen there are always numerous movie choices available.
- Indoor Mini-Golf, Arcade and Haunted House @ Race City
Playing indoor black light mini golf and going through the haunted house at Race City are two must-dos at this amazing place. There’s also other great things to experience here and if the rain lets up a bit, head on outside for more fun!
