Panama City Beach, Florida will once again be celebrating New Year’s in a fun and stylish way this coming Thursday night!
For the eighth time, the New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop in Pier Park promises to light up the coast with laser lights, fireworks and an 800-pound glowing beach ball. Crowds exceeding 40,000 are expected.

The New Year’s Eve festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with a family celebration that includes live music, street vendors, stilt walkers, balloon artists and face painters.
In addition to four machines blowing snow, eight 7 and 5 foot tall beach balls get thrown into the crowds to bounce around.
But the biggest draw will be the all-new laser light show designed to entertain the crowd beginning at 7:30.
The laser light show will go down Pier Park drive underneath the nets of beach balls suspended in the air. The countdown at 8 p.m. will culminate with 10,000 beach balls being dropped over the crowd onto Pier Park Drive followed by fireworks and more live music.
And as the seconds tick down to midnight, thousands of revelers will watch an 800-pound LED glowing beach ball descend to signify the start of a New Year with a second round of fireworks!
